Privatisation

Members of the practice over the years have acted in various capacities as Functionaries such as with the Government, political office holders or professional advisers of government. They have amassed considerable expertise in the field of privatisation. They have acted with respect to the formulation, implementation, structuring, negotiation and execution public divesture and privatisation of government owned or controlled enterprises.

We acted for two Nigerian banks during the 2005 Soludo Bank’s mergers and restructuring and we have acted for prospective Core investors in the Lagos Public Private Sector Partnership in the Construction of medium and low costing housing in the Free Trade Zone at the not so new Lekki Express axis in Lagos State as well.

We were active in the consortium of law firms led by our alliance firm that was active in the privatisation programme of the Federal Government as legal advisers to consortia of professional advisers appointed by the Bureau of Public Enterprises to advise the Bureau in respect of several Federal Government enterprised being privatised.
